ABOUT US

The Clinical Division of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy was founded in 1974, out of the strict necessity of well-rounded undergraduate and post-graduate training at patient bedside of doctors and pharmacists in republican and municipal hospitals.

Starting from 02 March 2015, according to order No. 473-RU, the Clinical Division, later also named the Curative Care Organization Division, became the Clinical Activity Management Centre – the main organizational centre for directing the activity of university clinics and coordinating cooperation ties with the national health care system’s sectors.

The specialized medical consultative services are provided by the employees of 95 therapeutic, surgical, gynecology, pediatric and dental clinics.

A special role in the curative activity of university's collaborators is played by the summer practice of 3rd-5th year students of the Faculty of Medicine and 3rd-4th year students of the Faculty of Stomatology, who offer practical support to patients of districts and villages of the republic. Residents of all specializations must complete a 6-month clinical internship at the country’s district hospitals in their 2nd and 3rd years under the therapeutic profile and in the 3rd and 4th years under the surgical profile.

The volume and effectiveness of aid provided by the university clinics to municipal, district and republican public medical-sanitary institutions of the Health Ministry of the Republic of Moldova are permanently increasing.
